art walkCharleston's French Quarter is home to about thirty art galleries, all within walking distance from one another.  This is the heart of the visual arts here in Charleston. Founded by the French Huguenots inside the original walled city, the French Quarter has become a national arts destination.

Four times a year the French Quarter is infused with art buzz and Southern hospitality. The galleries open their doors to offer food, wine, and stunning art. While strolling along the cobbled streets and gas lit alleys, there will be works from well over 500 artists to savor. The diverse variety of styles and mediums - from traditional to contemporary- ensures that there will be something to suit every taste.

Art Walks are held four times per year: on the first Friday of March, May, October, and December. The events run from 5:00 to 8:00, and are free and open to the public. Don't miss your next opportunity to attend: Friday, May3rd.
